Who We Are
ARC Studio was founded by two partners whose professional journeys crossed through mentorship, collaboration, and shared architectural experience. Built on mutual respect and a strong creative connection, the studio brings together architects and interior designers with diverse skills across residential, commercial, educational, health, and public-sector projects.
We approach each project with a balance of design sensitivity and technical clarity, ensuring that every space resonates with its users while meeting practical demands.
Our Design Philosophy
We design for the experience of place through all the senses whilst considering our clients’ personal approach and the local context.
Through our convos, client interactions and some introspection we found our need to celebrate identity in the South African context, consequently interpreting the monochromatic over-indulged Eurocentric appeal through another lens.
We realised that architecture and interior design indefinitely feel and look different in the South African context, and rightly so. Hence, we aim to celebrate what is true to us by not shying away from colour, texture, rhythm and vibrancy. Four different elements perfectly matched to establish a memorable experience in architecture and interior design.
Our Approach
Our process blends creative exploration with detailed technical thinking. From early concept development to construction and project close-out, we collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and communities.
Research plays a vital role in our work. Whether developing housing masterplans or specialised memory care environments, we use analytical and human-centred design methods to uncover meaningful design solutions.
