House Gull is set within the biodiverse landscape of Pringle Bay, where its design draws inspiration from the timeless principles of Bauhaus architecture. Created for a client originally from Germany, the home reinterprets this iconic architectural language through a refined local lens.
While Bauhaus is celebrated for prioritising function over ornamentation, its legacy of modern materials – glass, steel, and concrete – opened the door to expansive internal volumes and open plan living. House Gull embraces this spirit with contemporary materials and carefully proportioned rectangular openings that create a rhythmic, sculptural presence along the façade.
Generous windows blur the boundary between inside and out, pulling the natural surroundings deep into the heart of the home. The result is a tranquil, immersive living experience where clean lines, natural light, and the dramatic landscape come together in effortless harmony.
